This policy applies to users of Daly Rae, including parents, guardians, and invited caregivers who use shared access features.
Daly Rae is intended to help caregivers track baby routines and related records. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
2) Information we collect
a) Account and profile data
- Name
- Email address
- Authentication/session data
- App settings and preferences
b) Child profile and routine data entered by users
- Child profile details you choose to provide
- Tracking logs (for example: feeds, pumping, sleep, diapers, growth, temperature, activities)
- Stash/inventory data (for example: pumped milk, formula, diapers, movements, thresholds, and sync settings)
- Notes and timeline entries you create
c) Shared access data
- Invite codes
- Membership and role information (for example: parent, view only)
- Shared child profile links between accounts
d) Assistant and predictive AI data
- Messages you send to Assistant
- Assistant responses
- Context used to answer questions and process "log ..." commands when available
- When you allow AI sharing, relevant context is sent to OpenAI via Daly Rae backend to generate Assistant replies
- Assistant AI payloads can include your question text, selected child first name, child age/range context, and recent routine context required for response quality
- For 24-hour schedule AI hints, payloads can include aggregated routine timing/rate summaries, trend and transition summaries, temperature disruption context, age band context, timezone, and lookback range
e) Subscription and purchase state
- Subscription entitlement status
- Trial eligibility and trial state
Payments are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Daly Rae does not process full payment card data directly.
f) Technical and diagnostics data
- API request metadata
- Error logs and reliability signals
- Device/app version details needed for support and stability
3) How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate users and secure accounts,
- provide core tracking, stash, calendar, and analytics features,
- generate summaries and schedule guidance,
- send optional reminders and low-stash notifications,
- support shared caregiver collaboration,
- enable Assistant chat responses and track-entry automation,
- enforce access controls and subscription entitlements,
- maintain, secure, and improve the service.
4) Permissions and optional access
Daly Rae may request the following permissions:
- Camera: to capture photos/videos for memories and milestones.
- Photo library: to attach or save photos/videos for memories, milestones, and shared updates.
- Notifications: for reminders and low-stash alerts.
- Microphone: for optional voice input.
- Speech recognition: to convert spoken input to text.
These permissions are optional. You can deny or revoke them in iOS Settings.
Assistant and predictive AI sharing are optional. The app asks for consent before sending personal data to OpenAI for AI-generated responses and 24-hour schedule AI hints.
AI consent is presented in-app when users first access Assistant or AI-enhanced 24-hour schedule features. If consent is declined, AI requests are not sent.
5) How we share information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information:
- with service providers that support app operations (for example hosting, infrastructure, and technical operations),
- with OpenAI, only after your in-app consent, to generate Assistant responses and predictive 24-hour schedule AI hints,
- with invited caregivers according to owner-controlled sharing roles,
- with platform providers (for example Apple) for subscription and app distribution workflows,
- with platform speech-recognition services only when you use optional voice input,
- when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security,
- as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets (with appropriate notice where required).
6) Data retention
We keep data as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account history, and meet legal or operational obligations.
Retention may vary by data type and account status. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it where feasible.
7) Your controls and choices
Depending on your account role and applicable law, you can:
- access and update profile details,
- manage notification and microphone/speech permissions,
- allow or decline Assistant/predictive AI data sharing in-app,
- manage shared access roles (owner controls),
- delete child profile data (owner controls),
- request account deletion and related data removal.
In-app deletion path: Settings -> Account -> Delete my account (or Delete account & owned data).
Child profile deletion path (owner): Settings -> Child Profile -> Delete [child name]'s profile.

8) Children's information
Daly Rae is used by caregivers to manage child-related records. If you believe personal information about a child was provided inappropriately or you need removal support, contact us and we will review and address the request.
9) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10) International data processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where service providers or infrastructure operate. We take steps intended to protect information during such processing.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice in-app or through other reasonable means.
